We've all heard of the Clarasonic and it's been on my wish list for the longest time, so when I was surfing the boots website last week and noticed that they had a new product that was pretty much the spitting image of the clarasonic I may have punched the air (people still do that right?!) Anyway, the lovely Sinead who works for Boots PR sent me one to test and review for you guys. The moment it arrived I took photos and then rushed to try it out. Just before I get into the review I want to mention the price, The Clarasonic retails for around £120, the No7 Cleansing brush is just £24.95 and even better it's currently on it's introductory offer period making it just £15! Saving you £9.95. You can buy it here. So onto photos and my first impressions!
So first of all let me mention that it is battery operated, and comes with batteries so you can use it straight away without that mad dash around the house trying to find two double A's! It has two speeds as well, you click the button once to turn it on and then click it again to make it spin faster, a third click will turn it off. At first sight I actually thought the bristles looked a little hard but when I felt it, they are so soft! It really does give the face such a deep clean and a smoother feel and appearance. You know every time you find that new product that makes your face the softest it's ever been, this is my new softest ever. So far I have used it three times. Saturday morning and evening and this morning. In the morning I apply a subtle face wash to my face and then use the brush on speed one, and in the evening I use my Liz Earle and my My Skin cleanser and then use speed two. I'm really really pleased already with this device. It fits in the hand nicely and it recommends that you use it in circular motions so I go opposite to the way it spins. It will be interesting to see how long the batteries last and also how the brush head lasts, here is the info provided 'dependent on use we recommend that you replace your brush head every 3-4 months to ensure the brushes performance is maintained. Replacement brush heads are available to purchase in store.' Which really pleases me as I was worried it would be a one time thing and then you'd have to buy another. It also warns you to keep distance from the hairline as I an imagine getting your hair tangled in it would not be fun!
Overall I would deeply recommend this cleansing brush if the Clarasonic is something you were/ are interested in or if you want something that will give you a deep rich exfoliation. I can see this becoming part of my weekly if not daily skin routine! Snap it up before the introductory offer ends, you won't be disappointed!
What do you think? Will you be giving it a go?

DeleteOoh this sounds like an amazing alternative to the Clarasonic, I've also wanted to try it for ages, so I'll definitely have to pop into Boots tomorrow. I also have a No.7 voucher - I wonder if that would work on it too. Would be amazing if it did :). Thanks for sharing Serena :P.
